Consumer Eligibility & Account Security
To purchase and enrol in a Better Surgery programme, you must:

Be a consumer purchasing for personal, non-commercial use.

Account Security: Upon purchasing a course, an account is automatically created for you on the Teachable platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

Non-Transferable Access: Course enrolment and access rights belong strictly to the individual purchaser and must not be shared, assigned, or resold to any third party.
Pricing, Orders, and Payment
Prices for our courses and physical materials are displayed on www.bettersurgery.com in British Pounds (GBP) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely via third-party gateways (including Stripe, PayPal, and Teachable Payments). Full payment must be received prior to granting digital course access or dispatching physical materials.
Digital Course Access & Duration

Standard Access Window: Each course enrolment grants digital access for an initial period of 12 months from the date of purchase.

Content Updates: We reserve the right to update, modify, or enhance course videos, exercise sheets, and guides during your access period to reflect updated clinical evidence, guidelines, or user feedback.
Consumer Cancellation Rights & Refund Policy
Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers purchasing digital content online have specific statutory rights:

14-Day Statutory Cooling-Off Period: You have a statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of enrolment without giving any reason.

Immediate Digital Access Waiver: If you log into the course platform and begin streaming, downloading, or accessing digital content within the 14-day cancellation window, you acknowledge and agree that you waive your statutory right to cancel.

Physical Materials Returns: If physical printed materials were purchased, you may return them within 14 days of delivery at your own cost, provided they are unused and in original resalable condition. Upon receipt and inspection, a full refund for the physical item will be processed.

Requesting a Refund: To request a cancellation or refund within your eligible statutory period, please email info@bettersurgery.com with your order details.
Fair Use & Intellectual Property Policy
All copyright, trade marks, database rights, videos, graphics, printed booklets, and intellectual property across our website and courses remain the exclusive property of Better Surgery Ltd.

Permitted Personal Use: You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view videos and download/print exercise sheets solely for your personal preparation and recovery.

Prohibited Fair Use Violations: You strictly agree NOT to: (a) share your account login with others; (b) copy, record, reproduce, broadcast, or publicly display any portion of our courses; (c) redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit any printed or digital materials; or (d) scrape or reverse engineer content from our platforms.

Account Termination: Any breach of this Fair Use Policy will result in immediate termination of your course access without refund, alongside potential legal action for intellectual property infringement.
Delivery of Physical & Printed Materials
Where physical printed materials (such as booklets or workbooks) are included or purchased as an add-on, they will be dispatched via standard postal services to the shipping address provided at checkout. Better Surgery Ltd is not responsible for delivery delays caused by postal carriers, incorrect shipping details provided by the customer, or customs clearance delays for international orders.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, fraud, or any statutory liability that cannot be excluded under UK Consumer Rights law.
Subject to the above, Better Surgery Ltd will not be liable for any personal injury, aggravation of condition, or financial loss resulting from your failure to seek personalized professional medical advice, your non-compliance with your surgeon’s specific guidance, or unauthorized sharing of your course account.
Changes to Terms & Service Modifications
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms from time to time to comply with changes in consumer law, healthcare guidelines, or business operations. Updated Terms will be published on www.bettersurgery.com. Your continued use of our services following updates constitutes your acceptance. These Terms were last updated on 12 August 2026.
Governing Law & Contact Information
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts (or the courts of England, Wales, or Northern Ireland if you reside there as a consumer).
